Students will be prepared for careers in entrepreneurship and/or for working in small or growing businesses. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how to identify and evaluate business opportunities, and how to develop strategies and tactics required to bring those opportunities to fruition. This program provides a unique learning environment for students, where students from varied backgrounds and disciplines are introduced to topics such as branding, marketing, business theory and practice, and business planning and finance at postgraduate level. In addition, students leave the program having cultivated the mindset and abilities to turn ideas into reality and to take calculated risks.

When it comes to assessment methods, we have included quite a variety that will allow learners with different learning styles and abilities to complete the programme successfully. Students will also have to prepare individual, and team reports and presentations, apart from written and multiple-choice examinations. In addition, they will have to prepare a thesis, and submit assignments.

The Master of Arts (MA) in Entrepreneurship will be divided over an 18-month period, into 4 semesters and will be structured as follows:

Students who have no training in the field must have completed a bachelor’s in a relevant subject or have completed an MQF/EQF Level 6 qualification. However, students’ circumstances and experiences may also be considered during the application process—five years of relevant working experience in the industry of specialization. Kindly view our RPL (recognition of prior learning) previously approved by the MFHEA policy in Appendix A.
Similarly, students applying for the course need to be fluent in English since the course is taught in English. Therefore, proof of B2 level of English should be provided by the students upon application – IELTS level/grade 6 or the student’s country equivalent.

a) Apply project and resource planning principles to addressing business problems both as a project manager and also as a consultant
b) Strategically engage in peer review and feedback seeking activities
