Master of Arts (MA) in Leadership and Business Development (MQF Level 7)

The full-time Master of Arts (MA) in Leadership and Business Development will be divided over an 18-month period, into 4 semesters and will be structured as follows:

Semester 1:

1. Strategic Leadership – 4 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7
2. Training and Development – 10 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7
3. Principles of Entrepreneurship – 12 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7

Semester 2:

1. Global Business Strategy – 10 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7
2. Project Management – 12 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7

Semester 3:

1. Public Speaking and Presentation Skills – 6 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7
2. International Organisational Management and Development – 10 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7

Semester 4:

1. Professional Development -12 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7
2. Research in Projects and Organisations – 20 ECTS MQF / EQF LEVEL 7

Students who have no training in the field must have completed a bachelor’s in a relevant subject or have completed an MQF/EQF Level 6 qualification. However, students’ circumstances and experiences may also be considered during the application process—five years of relevant working experience in the industry of specialization. Kindly view our RPL (recognition of prior learning) previously approved by the MFHEA policy in Appendix A.

Similarly, students applying for the course need to be fluent in English since the course is taught in English. Therefore, proof of B2 level of English should be provided by the students upon application – IELTS level/grade 6 or the student’s country equivalent.

• Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in business, administration, commerce, finance, sciences, management, human resources, psychology or a related field
• Minimum 180 ECTS at MQF Level 6 previously acquired at a Higher Education institution
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• A minimum of one year of work experience in a business environment will be considered as an asset

a) Master specialised knowledge and understanding of the importance of workplace learning and development

b) Master specialised knowledge of employment legislation in Europe and the latest trends, best practices and innovations in employee and labour relations

c) Master multidisciplinary knowledge of effective global business strategy, including market entry, globalisation and growth

d) Master knowledge of the key principles of project management and their application to real-world projects

e) Master multi-disciplinary theoretical and practical knowledge of compliance with ethics and professional standards (including critically appraising industry trends and monitoring best practices) within their profession and industry / aspiring profession and industry

f) Master theoretical and practical knowledge of business research, the research process and the role of theory and empirical evidence in the creation of knowledge, the design and conduct of research projects in real-world settings
