About the Award

The “Introduction to Databases” module offers students a foundational understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and their applications in various fields. Throughout the module, students will explore fundamental concepts such as data modeling, relational database design, SQL (Structured Query Language) querying, and database administration.

Entry requirements

Proficiency in English language skills- IELTS level/grade 6, B2 level of English or the student’s country equivalent, as the course will involve reading technical materials and communicating concepts effectively.
Post secondary Education (Pure Maths and/Or Computing A level) (MATSEC) or equivalent OR
A degree at level 6 (MQF/EQF) or equivalent in another subject together with a Post secondary Education (Pure Maths and/Or Computing A level) (MATSEC)
OR
10 years of work experience in an IT related job paired with a strong interest in the field, together with a minimum level 4 qualification
