Post Graduate Certificate in Business Economics

The full-time Post graduate certificate in Business Economics will be carried out over an 6-month period, into 2 semesters and will be structured as follows:

Semester 1:

1. Policy Analysis MQF/EQF Level 7, 4 ECTS
2. Advanced Quantitative Techniques for Business Economics Research 1 MQF/EQF Level 7, 6 ECTS
3. Advanced Quantitative Techniques for Business Economics Research 2 MQF/EQF Level 7, 6 ECTS

Semester 2:

1. Advanced Microeconomics MQF/EQF Level 7, 7 ECTS
2. Advanced Macroeconomics MQF/EQF Level 7, 7 ECTS

Applicants to the Post Graduate Certificate in Business Economics program should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in economics, business, administration, management, or a related field
• Minimum 180 ECTS previously acquired at a Higher Education institution
• For students who do not have a prior bachelors level equivalent qualification in a marketing subject, a GPA score of 2.2 (or equivalent) will be required
• Proof of C1 level of English

• Master ethical issues in business and economics, as well as an understanding of sustainable business practices. The social and environmental implications of economic decisions will be considered and strategies for responsible and sustainable business management explored.
• Identify public policies and master the ability to understand and assess the impact of public policy on industry and society
• Master economic theories and models to analyse real-world business problems. Learn to evaluate economic policies, assess the economic impact of business decisions, and make data-driven recommendations to support managerial and strategic decision-making.
• Skilfully apply economic principles to analyze and interpret economic phenomena and their impact on business decision-making.
